C. Get Your Pennsylvania Tax ID Number and Or Other State Required Documentation
Have your Federal Tax ID Number (EIN) handy; most states require it on their state tax ID number forms and other forms that you may need to complete after you incorporate a business in Pennsylvania.
1. Publishing a Notice of Incorporation in Two Newspapers
Pursuant to Pennsylvania law, a statement regarding the filing of Articles of Incorporation (or a Certificate of Organization) must be published in two newspapers of general circulation, one of which should be a legal newspaper in the county where the initial registered office of the corporation (If possible; not all counties have legal newspapers.).
Each newspaper will charge for publishing the notice. You are not required to file proof of publication with the state.

You can also call the county clerk in which your business is located and ask for the name of a legal newspaper in the county and/or other newspapers in which you can file legal notices.
2. Filing Form PA-100 – Pennsylvania Business Tax Registration
You need to file this form to determine what, if any, tax obligation your business will have in Pennsylvania. You can file online at www.pa100.state.pa.us or you can download the form at http://www.revenue.state.pa.us/revenue/lib/revenue/pa-100.pdf

3. Annual / Decennial Reports
Each corporation must file a report with the state once every 10 years. A copy of the report will be mailed to you. A corporation that does not submit its decennial report on time gives up exclusive use of its name.

All Professional LLCs (e.g. doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc.) are required to file an annual report with the Pennsylvania Department of State each year. The state will mail this form to you. There is a filing fee of $380 for every member of the LLC.
