C.  Get Your Florida Tax ID Number and Or Other State Required Documentation 

Have your Federal Tax ID Number (EIN) on hand; most states require it on their state tax ID number forms and other forms that you may need to complete after you incorporate a business in Florida.
 
Before you are granted a license from any government agency or a business is opened in Florida, you must first determine whether your business activity, product use, or product consumption will be subjected to Florida sales tax. That is why you must complete the DR-1 form; if you haven’t downloaded it already, it can be done by going to www.myflorida.com/dor/forms/download/!sales.html
 
For all other tax information regarding your business, visit the Florida Department of Revenue’s website at http://sun6.dms.state.fl.us/dor/taxes. This includes unemployment taxes. To see if your business is required to file an Employer’s Quarterly Report (Form UCT-6) which details your business’s employment activity, go to the Department of Revenue’s website and click on “How to Register.”
